A Concert Event You Cannot Miss: See the Inspirational Violins of Hope Showcase
Don’t miss Violins of Hope, the captivating and inspirational musical event coming to the University of Alabama’s Alys Stephens Center. Presented by the Alabama Symphony Orchestra, this incredible concert showcases music played by violins that lived through the Holocaust, their voices expressing inexpressible hardships, giving hope, and often saving lives.
Under the baton of Music Director Carlos Izcaray, the Alabama Symphony Orchestra will bring the local community an unforgettable educational, cultural, and personal experience with Violins of Hope. Featuring instruments that survived the Holocaust and have been lovingly restored by violin-makers Amnon and Avshi Weinstein, this concert returns these beautiful instruments to the stage so they may speak again through a powerful, moving program of classical masterpieces. It is sure to be an incredible evening at the Alys Stephens Center that demonstrates the power of music to heal and shine a light on the need for greater tolerance, understanding, and compassion among all people.
