Enjoy a special weekend film event with the Sixth Annual Tuscaloosa Africana Film Festival! This enriching and entertaining event is hosted by the West Alabama Multicultural Alliance and will feature four screenings of this year’s special movie selection.

This year’s festival will take place at the Bama Theatre, where guests can experience four incredible films on this special night of Africana movies in Tuscaloosa. Audiences of all ages will enjoy the movies, with family-friendly stories including “Livana,” an animated African tale in which a young Swazi girl’s journey is interwoven with poetic and observational documentary scenes to create a genre-defying celebration of collective African storytelling. The event will also feature the winner of the “Rep Your Heritage Film Challenge,” a West Alabama youth film competition, followed by two more award-winning shorts and one exclusively picked feature film. It’s a vibrant film festival that celebrates the artistry of Africana filmmaking, so be sure to attend the Sixth Annual Tuscaloosa Africana Film Festival!

At Presbyterian Apartments I & II in Northport, Alabama, we believe it’s important to integrate yourself into the community, which is why we suggest attending this event. Meeting new people, having unfamiliar experiences, and joining neighborhood activities is the key to an exceptional lifestyle.
